Mit Axure Prototypen im Web veröffentlichen

Axure hat heute einen neuen Webservice namens AxShare veröffentlicht. Mit diesem kann man aus einer Axure-Datei automatisch einen HTML-Prototypen erzeugen und ins Netz stellen.

Jetzt braucht man keinen eigenen Webspace mehr, um mal eben schnell einen Prototypen zu veröffentlichen. Der Service ist noch im Beta-Stadium, aber wie ich finde sehr viel versprechend.

The files are limited to 5MB right now and the link to each prototype is valid for 30 days. The email you’ll receive after uploading will also give you the option to remove the prototype sooner. The uploaded RP file is deleted from the server at the same time as the generated prototype.

Wenn man jetzt noch Text zwischen die HEAD-Tags schreiben könnte, wäre ich sprachlos vor Glück. Denn dann könnte man zum Beispiel Protonotes einbinden.

Illustrator Wireframing Kit

Vincent Le Moign war sehr emsig und hat ein stattliches Wireframing Kit für Adobe Illustrator ins Netz gestellt.

Das Kit beinhaltet hunderte Shapes, 260 Icons und 200 verschiedene Styles. Und ihr könnt es auch in kommerziellen Projekten einsetzen, liebe Zielgruppe:

This framework is released as a complete web designer kit for free. Even for commercial use. I just require a link to this page if you use the elements, icons or styles on a online website. You don’t need to make a link if you use it only in application wireframes or user interface mockups.

Wireframing mit Google Drawings

Morten Just hat ein wenig mit Google Drawing herumgespielt und kommt zu folgendem Fazit:

I tried drawing a few diagrams and even a wireframe, and it turns out the basic drawing interactions are just as good – in some cases even better – than what I’m used to in Omnigraffle and Fireworks.

Sketching auf dem iPad

When I first held an iPad I knew it would have significance to a web designer as a sketching tool. It’s portable, connected, and friendly, and with the apps that have emerged since launch we now have many options to choose from based on what needs and wants we might have. I’m reviewing three apps: Adobe Ideas, Draft, and Sketchbook Pro from the perspective of a web designer, focusing on tasks such as layout sketching.

Für den Kollegen Evans sind Wireframes im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes Gedankenstützen, die ihm helfen ein Problem zu explorieren, strukturieren und zu lösen.

For me, wireframes act as a form of ‘thinking device’ for the setting and exploration of a given problem space [...]. I use my sketches and wireframes as means to make explorative moves and assess the consequences of those moves. As I explore the problem space, I could relatively easily keep the design models in my head, but I would fail in my primary objective to create a framework for a conversation among the stakeholders, the intended audience, and me.

iPhone Sketching

Teehan und Lax haben eine neues iPhone Stencil Paket (für Adobe Illustrator) veröffentlicht.

For rapid prototyping we found we needed a more malleable approach. This is when we turn to the iPhone Sketch Elements AI. This collection of common iPhone elements in a sketch – like style allows us to easily and quickly mock up flows of custom wireframe screens.
